Bogor – President Prabowo Subianto has called on all central and regional officials to uphold their integrity and avoid actions that betray the people, stressing the importance of leaving behind a good legacy.
Prabowo delivered this message during the 2024 National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) for Central and Regional Governments at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC) in West Java on Thursday (November 6).
“There is an old saying, ‘A tiger leaves its stripes when it dies, and we leave our name when we pass,’” Prabowo remarked.
“Let us strive to leave behind a good name for our families, so our parents can be proud, as well as our children and grandchildren,” he continued.
Prabowo also urged officials to use their hard-earned income to help those in need, emphasizing the importance of humility and charity.
“Please remember the significance of our reputation. No matter the wealth we accumulate, when God calls us, we depart with nothing,” he reminded.
This Rakornas focused on unifying the perspectives of central and regional officials in shaping future policies. Prabowo also emphasized the importance of efficient governance and a system free from corruption and misconduct. (RR)
