President Joko Widodo, accompanied by members of the public, took a trip to Bandung, West Java, on the Whoosh high-speed train. Departing from Halim Station in Jakarta, he arrived at the station around 7:45 p.m., donning a cream-colored outfit and a navy blue cap. His presence among commuters sparked surprise and excitement as he interacted warmly with the crowd, waving to onlookers before boarding the train bound for Tegalluar Station in Bandung.
President Jokowi is set to inaugurate the 2025 Indonesian Convention on Science, Technology, and Industry (KSTI) at the Sasana Budaya Ganesa (Sabuga), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). Scheduled to take place from August 7 to 9, the convention will feature keynote addresses from Nobel Laureate Konstantin Novoselov and Minister of Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto. With the theme “Economic Growth and Equity Through Mastery of Science and Technology,” the KSTI 2025 aims to be a strategic forum of national and international significance.
