Ester Nenggokaka, a resident of Southwest Sumba in East Nusa Tenggara, leads a humble life despite facing various challenges. She works hard by selling vegetables to provide for her two children, showcasing her resilience and determination. One of her children, Lorensius Aganta, who was underweight at 7 kilograms, benefited greatly from the Free Nutritious Meal (Makan Bergizi Gratis, MBG) program. Ester is thankful for the program as it has positively impacted her son’s health, evident in his weight gain after receiving regular MBG meals. She eagerly awaits the next health check at the local community clinic to monitor his progress. Each morning, Ester receives a nutritious assortment of food items such as eggs, fish, meat, tofu, tempeh, and vegetables, ensuring her children have a balanced diet. Despite the challenges she faces, Ester remains hopeful for the future and looks to President Prabowo for further support to improve their living standards. Even without electricity or land ownership, she finds comfort in the nourishing meals that contribute to her child’s well-being and nurture optimism for the days to come.
