Prabowo dan MBS Tingkatkan Koordinasi untuk Kenyamanan Jamaah Haji Indo

President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia visited Saudi Arabia on July 2–3, 2025, to strengthen cooperation in improving services for Indonesian pilgrims during their Hajj and Umrah journeys. The President met with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah, expressing gratitude for the Saudi government’s commitment to serving pilgrims from around the world, including those from Indonesia.

The meeting emphasized the close collaboration between the two countries in ensuring the safety and comfort of Indonesian pilgrims during their religious activities. Both parties agreed to further enhance the quality of services for Indonesian pilgrims in upcoming Hajj seasons, reaffirming their dedication to facilitating a seamless pilgrimage experience.

In addition to discussions on Hajj-related matters, strategic agreements were reached to deepen bilateral relations. The Saudi–Indonesia Supreme Coordination Council, co-chaired by the Crown Prince and President Prabowo, focused on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, energy, and technology. The bilateral trade between the two countries has been significant, totaling approximately USD 31.5 billion over the past five years.

Moreover, agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed to promote private sector investment, amounting to around USD 27 billion. These investments are expected to generate job opportunities in Indonesia, particularly in energy, industrial development, and environmentally sustainable technology sectors.

Both leaders also stressed the importance of collaboration in the health sector, especially in meeting the medical needs of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. They also discussed the advancement of the pharmaceutical and vaccine industries and the enhancement of health workforce capacity.

On the international stage, President Prabowo and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reiterated their commitment to supporting peaceful conflict resolutions in the region. They reaffirmed their endorsement of a two-state solution for Palestine and highlighted the role of international humanitarian organizations in promoting peace and stability.

The visit showcased the strong and evolving partnership between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia across various sectors, underscoring their joint efforts to enhance services for Indonesian pilgrims and deepen cooperation for the benefit of both nations.
