Deputy Minister for Population and Family Development (Wamendukbangga) Ratu Ayu Isyana Bagoes Oka emphasizes the importance of parents staying informed about their children’s interests and engaging in physical activities together to prevent them from developing game and gadget addiction. Speaking at the Double Check discussion organized by the Presidential Communication Office (PCO) and Gempita, Isyana highlighted the need for parents to keep themselves updated with current online trends as children tend to learn quickly in this digital age. She pointed out that children often seek quick rewards, such as dopamine from social media or online games, which can lead to addiction. Isyana suggested that sports and outdoor activities can also provide dopamine and emphasized the importance of physical movement for overall well-being.

Deputy Minister for Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, Veronica Tan, introduced the Ruang Bersama Indonesia (RBI) program as a safe space for women, children, and communities to empower themselves, learn, play, and unleash creativity. Tan hopes that by providing access to safe and creative spaces, children can engage in traditional games, sports, and steer clear of gadget addiction. The program aims to create a supportive environment where children can thrive and develop away from screen time.
