Prabowo Welcomes Peruvian President at Merdeka Palace: Students Join Festivities

A warm welcome was extended to the Peruvian President Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra by President Prabowo Subianto at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. The state ceremony was attended by approximately 3,000 students from elementary to high school levels from various parts of Jakarta. President Boluarte’s motorcade, accompanied by motorcycle troops and mounted guards, made its way to the palace from the National Monument (Monas). Upon arrival, President Prabowo personally greeted President Boluarte and the national anthems of both Peru and Indonesia were played. The leaders then inspected the honor guard and paid respects to their national flags. Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of State Secretariat Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan P. Roeslani, Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman, Minister of Trade Budi Santoso, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya were also present with President Prabowo. A bilateral meeting was held to enhance relations between Indonesia and Peru, both of which are members of APEC. The meeting was a reciprocation of President Prabowo’s visit to Peru the previous year, highlighting the continuous diplomatic exchange between the two nations.
