Prabowo Visits Jokowi: Update on CEPA and Diplomatic Tour

President Prabowo Subianto recently visited former President Joko Widodo at his residence in Solo to provide updates from his recent state visits to various countries like Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Belgium, and France. During the visit, Prabowo discussed the breakthroughs achieved during his international tour, particularly highlighting the successful negotiations on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with the European Union after a decade of talks. Accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Prabowo arrived at Jokowi’s residence and had a warm reception from Jokowi and First Lady Iriana. The meeting, characterized as cordial and relaxed, covered current issues and key highlights from Prabowo’s 15-day diplomatic tour, where he shared positive outcomes, especially in trade relations and cooperation with other countries. Prabowo reiterated Indonesia’s commitment to neutrality and peaceful cooperation, emphasizing the nation’s reputation as a non-aligned country that seeks friendship with all nations without interfering in their domestic affairs. Also present during the meeting were State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Angga Raka Prabowo. Prabowo’s visit and discussions with Jokowi reflect Indonesia’s efforts to maintain strong international relations and uphold a neutral stance on the global stage.
