Jakarta – A notable moment occurred when the president-elect for the 2024-2029 term, Prabowo Subianto, met with the Chairman of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, at Prabowo’s residence on Jalan Kertanegara, Jakarta, on Thursday (April 25).
During the meeting, the two shared a handshake, and those present exclaimed “official!” This moment unfolded as Prabowo and Surya were conversing in one of the rooms at Prabowo’s residence.
Prabowo, clad in batik, even put his arm around Surya’s shoulder. Broad smiles and cheerful faces were clearly visible on both of them.
Following that meeting, Surya, dressed in a blue suit, formally declared NasDem’s support for Prabowo-Gibran. He assured that his party backs the new government under their leadership.
“So, we all conclude with spirit, enthusiasm, sincerity of heart, and great soul, NasDem today declares and reaffirms, supporting the new government under the leadership of Prabowo-Gibran,” said Surya Paloh.
Prabowo expressed his gratitude for the support extended by Surya Paloh, emphasizing that all forces must unite to advance Indonesia.
“The greatest strength that can join together for the people amid global dynamics is highly anticipated,” he said.
“Thank you Mr. Surya, thank you NasDem, we are very happy to have you with us,” Prabowo continued.
